World Ovarian Cancer Day 2018

CHALLENGE
To create global awareness and education of ovarian cancer by increasing visibility and engagement through social media channels.

SOLUTION
The 2018 World Ovarian Cancer Day continued to focus on the positioning statement of “One Voice for Every Woman”. Women have the power to make a difference and how they create this difference is more individualistic today. The campaign reminded women that their voice has power. It’s time to use that voice to fight ovarian cancer.

Haft2 created a variety of social media posts – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Also producing a 40 sec. animated video for women to share and use this to get the conversation started.

RESULTS
Overall increase in social media engagement (particularly mobile) of up to 125%.

Over 1000 women shared the animated video.

Partnership engagement increased significantly whereby partners (drug companies) now create their own materials to promote the day.


OUR CAMPAIGN INCLUDED STRATEGIC USE OF TEAL, THE GLOBAL COLOUR FOR OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS, COMPLEMENTED WITH BURGUNDY, THE COLOUR ASSOCIATED WITH WOMEN’S GYNAECOLOGICAL CANCERS.
